THE TSUNAMI GAME Rebirth Guide
Master the endless rebirth loop, unlock rarer items, and push toward Rebirth 10 without wasting progress.
Rebirth is the long-term progression engine of THE “TSUNAMI GAME”. Waves and plot upgrades make your early session strong, but rarity unlocks, better weapons, boss access, and late-game events all sit behind rebirth milestones. This guide explains what rebirth keeps, what it resets, when you should press the button, and how each rebirth tier changes the loot table.
If you are brand new, read Getting Started and How to Play first, then return here when you are ready to reset for the first time.
What Rebirth Does
Rebirthing resets temporary economic progress so you can climb again with better unlocks. In practical terms:
- Your items and weapons stay with you across rebirths
- Your speed and cash multipliers reset, so early farming feels slow again until you rebuild upgrades
- You unlock the next rarity band and related content for that rebirth level
- Higher rebirths open more of the waves pool, stronger PvP options, and better odds of meaningful event loot
The game is designed as a forever loop: collect, upgrade, spend, rebirth, repeat. There is no single “done” state — Rebirth 10 unlocks all currently unlockable content, but players keep rebirthing for pace, prestige, and boss readiness.
Always Spend Before You Rebirth
The most common beginner mistake is rebirthing with a full coin wallet. Coins spent on plot upgrades vanish with the reset, but those upgrades should already have been bought before you confirm rebirth. Treat rebirth like a bank closing:
- Dump remaining coins into speed and carry upgrades
- Place any valuable items still sitting on the map onto your plot
- Confirm you are not mid-event if you planned a boss attempt afterward
- Then rebirth
Items and weapons carry over, so your collection is the real permanent wealth. Coins left unspent are the resource you throw away.
Rarity Unlock Table
Use this table as the core progression checklist. Exact drop rates still depend on wave type and server size, but the rebirth gate is hard:
| Rebirth | Unlocks |
|---|---|
| R1 | Uncommon rarity |
| R2 | Rare rarity |
| R3 | Epic rarity |
| R4 | Legendary rarity |
| R5 | Mythical rarity |
| R6 | Secret rarity |
| R10 | All unlockable content |
Practical reading of the table:
- R1–R2: Your first real power spike. Rare items start appearing and early weapons become relevant for light PvP.
- R3–R4: Epic and Legendary loot change plot value dramatically. This is where many players finally feel “online”.
- R5–R6: Mythical and Secret tiers matter for late events and prestige collections. Boss prep gets serious around here.
- R10: The documented finish line for unlockable content. Push here if you want full access rather than partial progression.
Rare items are much less likely in small servers. Even after you unlock Rare at R2, a quiet three-player lobby will feel empty compared with a fuller server. Join populated lobbies when you are hunting upgrades tied to rarity.
The Rebirth Loop in Practice
A healthy loop looks like this:
- Spawn and rebuild speed / carry with whatever coins you can earn quickly
- Farm waves near your plot so travel time stays short
- Stock your plot with the best items your current rarity band allows
- Watch for events that boost mutated or high-value drops
- Spend every spare coin
- Rebirth as soon as the next rarity tier is worth more than another hour of grinding your current multipliers
Do not wait forever for a “perfect” wallet. Once upgrades feel expensive relative to the next rarity unlock, reset. The permanent unlock is usually worth more than one more temporary speed level.
Rebirth and Boss Access
Boss content is soft-locked behind progression. Wall of Flesh typically needs a server with a Rebirth 6+ player, enough people online, a lava wave, and a Guide Voodoo Doll — and it will not spawn during events. Read the dedicated Wall of Flesh guide and the Bosses hub before burning dolls.
Airship remains RNG-heavy and is associated with elevated severity (around 2.5x+). Totario / Mysterious Portal is the least documented and hardest encounter. Higher rebirth does not guarantee those fights, but it does give you the weapons and stamina to contest them when they appear.
Tips That Save Hours
- Fuller servers first: rarity unlocks mean little if the lobby cannot roll rare drops
- Plot first, roam second: early after a rebirth, rebuild income before long map runs
- Event awareness: Golden and Blood Moon can spike value; Stinky is safer farming; bosses are blocked during events
- Weapon timing: PvP tools matter more once Rare and Epic bands open — check the tier list for current priorities
- Collection goals: use the players / items hub to decide which pieces are worth plot space
- Do not soft-lock yourself: if you are stuck on coin walls, rebirth; if you are stuck on rarity, change servers

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about THE TSUNAMI GAME.
What do I keep when I rebirth in THE TSUNAMI GAME?
You keep collected items and weapons. Speed and cash multipliers reset, so spend coins on upgrades before confirming rebirth.
What rarity unlocks at each rebirth?
R1 Uncommon, R2 Rare, R3 Epic, R4 Legendary, R5 Mythical, R6 Secret, and R10 unlocks all unlockable content.
When should I rebirth for the first time?
After you have spent your coins and Uncommon access would clearly beat another long grind on your current multipliers. Most players should not hoard forever.
Why am I not seeing rare items after Rebirth 2?
Rare items are much less likely in small servers. Unlocking Rare is necessary but not enough — join fuller lobbies during peak hours.
Do I need high rebirth for bosses?
Wall of Flesh usually needs a Rebirth 6+ player in a populated server, outside events. Airship and Totario also favor stronger, later-progression groups.
Is Rebirth 10 the end of the game?
Rebirth 10 unlocks all unlockable content, but the loop continues. Players keep rebirthing for pace, weapons, and boss readiness.
